Commercial Insurance Broker

Are you team oriented, customer service focused and enjoy a fast paced work environment? If so, you may be a great fit for our Commercial Insurance Broker position!

What will you do?
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of clients’ operations and risk exposures.
  • Identify specific client risk exposures, and develop and present cost-effective, innovative coverage solutions in support of existing and new business growth.
  • Establish account specific service plans and delivery approaches that support coverage solutions.
  • Review and revise insurance programs in conjunction with the client to ensure complete and appropriate coverage.
  • Develop and manage client relationships to increase penetration sales and cultivate new business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with team members to develop prospective clients and renewal strategies, and deliver appropriate coverage.
  • Focus efforts on the development of an advisory relationship with new contacts and existing clients.
  • Resolving client issues and concerns in partnership with the members of the Trigon team.
  • Interacting and communicating regularly with our insurance partners to ensure expected standards of service are delivered to our clients.
  • Keeping clients and prospects informed of current market conditions.
Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications:
  • Registered Insurance Broker of Ontario (RIBO) License required;
  • Quebec (AMF) License an asset;
  • Comprehensive and effective verbal and written communication skills;
  • Ability to work well under pressure with minimum supervision in a team environment;
  • Strong emphasis on a positive team dynamic;
  • Excellent time management and organization skills;
  • High attention to detail and accuracy;
  • Ability to multi-task between a variety of tasks, projects and deadlines;
  • Sound knowledge of general insurance coverage;
  • Experience in dealing with clients, providing both service and sales support.

Commercial Insurance Support

We are currently seeking a dynamic individual to join our Commercial Insurance Department in a Support position.

What will you do?
  • Reviewing and processing renewal policies and providing the Commercial Insurance Brokers with coverage recommendations or any possible concerns with coverage, discounts, or premium increases
  • Prepare certificates of insurance for review by the Commercial Insurance Brokers
  • Maintaining and creating certificate information within Microsoft Word and the Broker Management System
  • Assisting the department with testing and implementation of new initiatives
  • Transacting Agency Bill and Direct Bill policies in the Broker Management System and preparing the appropriate letters and documents for the Commercial Insurance Brokers to contact the clients
  • Processing and uploading new business, endorsements and cancellations into the insurance company broker portals as instructed by the Commercial Insurance Brokers
  • Prepare quotes for finance contracts and issue contracts as directed by the Commercial Insurance Brokers
  • Reviewing and assigning payment notices to the Commercial Insurance Brokers to contact the clients
  • The ability to adapt easily to change, see merits of different positions and to adapt to new situations
  • Performing other related duties as required

  • Provide exceptional and prompt service to clients
  • Oversee and maintain a book of business
  • Analyze client coverage, exposures and loss experience to determine risk requirements
  • Process renewals and day-to-day client inquiries
  • Build personalized client relationships through proactive communication
  • Ensure accurate processing of policy documentation
Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications:
  • Registered Insurance Broker Ontario (RIBO) License required

  • Technical knowledge of a variety of personal lines products

Personal Insurance Support

Looking for an administrative position that fosters professional growth and development?  Sounds like you may be interested in our Personal Insurance Support position.

What will you do?
  • Review and process home and auto insurance renewal policies
  • Transact insurance policies in our Broker Management System and prepare the appropriate letters and documents for our Personal Insurance Brokers to contact our clients
  • Process and upload policy information to the insurance company portals as instructed by our Personal Insurance Brokers
  • Review and assign payment notices to our Personal Insurance Brokers to contact our clients
  • Performing other related duties as required
Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications:
